If you like beer and you want a little heat, spice up your next beer by turning it into a delicious Mambo Chelada. What is Mambo Chelada, you ask? A Chelada is Mambo’s take on the traditional “beer cocktail” from Mexico that combines ice cold beer, fresh lime juice, and a blend of spices. The result is a refreshing drink for a hot day or brunch after a night out.
Michelada vs Mambo Chelada
The beauty of a Michelada is that everyone can have their own recipe! To put it in simple terms, think of a bloody mary, but instead of vodka, there is beer―ideally a Mexican lager. A Mambo Chelada, however, is a michelada with an exciting twist.
While a standard michelada sounds delicious as it, a Mambo Chelada is that times ten. A Mambo Chelada has the mouthwatering taste but lacks the additional required effort. A michelada typically uses a variety of ingredients. These may include hot sauces, tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, ground peppercorns, horseradish, limes, and lemons. The rim is salted, and some places will throw on accompaniments such as pickled veggies, celery, and carrot sticks. People can go as crazy as they want when making a Michelada. However, without all of the right ingredients, the delicious drink can suffer.
Mambo Chelada Mix makes everything so much easier, giving you the ability to make a delicious Mambo Chelada instead. Mambo offers an authentic and consistent michelada mix made of a perfect blend of spices. All you have to do is add it to your favorite cerveza and get ready to enjoy.
Mambo Chelada is the ideal mix to impress your guests at the next party. No need to break your bank or strain your eyes looking for the best recipe; follow the Mambo Chelada steps!
Our Chelada Recipe – It’s The Best!
You don’t need to be a chef or have any experience in the kitchen to make a great chelada when you take advantage of our Chelada Mix. All that’s needed are the following ingredients:
- Cold beer
- Lime juice
- Mambo Chelada mix
- Icy-cold beer mug
Once you have all the ingredients, it is time to get started.
Mambo Chelada Mix Directions:
If you do not have a cold mug, you can use ice. However, professional Chelada drinkers know that using a frosted mug keeps the drink cold without watering it down.
- Cut lime and rub a wedge along the rim of the mug. Dip the rim in salt.
- Squeeze lime juice into the mug. Use more or less to your liking.
- Add about ½ oz of the Mambo Chelada mix.
- Pour in the cold beer slowly.
- Drink and enjoy!
- Repeat the process as necessary.
PRO TIP: Add powder chili to the salt for a spicy kick or use PIKA MAMBO instead of salt (Pika Mambo exclusively available at Mambo Seafood locations).
